Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux concluded its long pentecost weekend of Belgian classics with the Ronde van Limburg this Monday, on a parcours of 202 kilometer between Hasselt and Tongeren. Quinten Hermans, one of the regional riders, took sixth place at the end of a nervous final.
He took over the role of Gerben Thijssen, who was involved in a crash in the final kilometers. Five riders of the World Team hit the deck and luckily all crossed the finish line after three local laps without serious injuries. Despite the multiple accelerations and the presence of the wind, a complete peloton sprinted for the victory and Quinten Hermans obtained his seventh top ten of the season.
